Parmesan Wax Beans

Ingredients

1 (14.5 oz.)

can Wax Beans

2 tbsp.

celery, chopped

2 tbsp.

onion, chopped

3 tbsp.

butter

2 tbsp.

flour

0.25 cup

milk

2 tbsp.

dry white wine

2 tbsp.

grated Parmesan cheese

0.25 cup

Panko bread crumbs

Original Recipe Makes 4 Servings

In saucepan, sauté celery and onion in 2 tbsp. of butter; remove from heat and blend in flour. Drain wax beans, reserving 1/4 cup liquid. Add reserved liquid, milk, and wine. Return to low heat and stir until thickened and bubbly; add cheese. Stir in beans and heat to serving temperature. Meanwhile toss bread crumbs in remaining butter (melted); sauté until light brown. Place beans in serving dish and garnish with bread crumbs.
